Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 2.87% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index climbed 2.02%, and the index climbed 2.17%.
The best performers of the session on the were Bayer AG NA (DE:), which rose 8.39% or 4.82 points to trade at 62.27 at the close. Meanwhile, MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:) added 7.53% or 9.90 points to end at 141.40 and Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:) was up 7.49% or 0.602 points to 8.640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (DE:), which fell 0.15% or 0.075 points to trade at 50.075 at the close. Covestro AG (DE:) added 0.32% or 0.100 points to end at 31.290 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (DE:) was up 0.58% or 0.530 points to 92.630.
The top performers on the MDAX were Fraport AG (DE:) which rose 8.87% to 41.870, Airbus Group SE (DE:) which was up 8.37% to settle at 58.65 and Hochtief AG (DE:) which gained 6.14% to close at 77.80.
The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (DE:) which was down 1.92% to 89.00 in late trade, Tag Immobilien AG (DE:) which lost 1.18% to settle at 21.800 and Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 1.07% to 117.550 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:) which rose 5.65% to 92.600, SAP SE (DE:) which was up 5.03% to settle at 111.590 and Wirecard AG (DE:) which gained 3.92% to close at 86.760.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 1.07% to 117.550 in late trade, RIB Software AG Na (DE:) which lost 0.82% to settle at 26.620 and United Internet AG NA (DE:) which was down 0.19% to 36.470 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 551 to 135 and 53 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 6.89% to 31.90.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.47% or 8.10 to $1727.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.35% or 0.45 to hit $33.70 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.22% or 0.43 to trade at $35.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.0894, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8935.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 99.817.
